The Pillars of Islam, the five duties of a Muslim:
Shahadah - to say and believe 'There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.'
Salat - Daily prayer. Muslims pray five times throughout the day, always facing Mecca in the east.
Zakat - To give money and assistance to the poor and less fortunate.
Ramadan - to fast during the month of Ramadan.
Haji - to make a pilgrimage to Mecca once during their lifetime. Mecca is the city where the Kaaba, a holy shrine to Muslims, is located. |
